Born in St Petersburg, Russia, Seraphima has travelled the world and lived in several international megapolises, including New York and London. Her working experience prior to choosing the path of a screenwriter consists of media marketing and PR as well as heading a cigar magazine (2005-2006) and having her own rich media lifestyle publication (2006-2009).
Her literary journey began in New York in 2010 where she met a person who prompted her to start writing. Since then, Seraphima has completed a novella turned screenplay ‘A Tricky Game’ (2013, 2018), a book in English: Puzzled (2016) and three books in Russian: Puzzled (2014), Unknowns 2014, Mystery of Orient Express (2015). The three Russian books were initially published on wattpad.com with respective number of reads to date: 3 million, 2 million, and 700,000.
In her script writing Seraphima combines visual use of language with witty dialogues with subtexts, aiming at creating emotionally intelligent impressions for the readers/viewers to connect to.
Her current admirations in screenwriting is an American novelist and screenwriter, Stephen Chbosky (Beauty and The Beast (2017) and The Perks of Being a Wall-flower (2012)) for his language, dialogues and clear descriptions and an Italian screenwriter and director, Guiseppe Tornatore (The Best Offer (2013)) for his plot and stylish visualisation of it.
Seraphima Bogomolova is also the Founder and Managing Director of Souliris productions.
