Liz Maestri (she/hers) is a NYC-based screenwriter and playwright who writes about ambitious people clawing themselves out of repressive situations. Her TV pilot COLLEGIATE was a Stowe Story Labs/Maven Screen Media Fellowship finalist, and pilot SIGNS + WONDERS was a ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship semifinalist and a finalist in the Roadmap Writers Top Tier Competition. Liz’s stage plays include SINNER-MAN (O’Neill NPC finalist; Princess Grace Award semifinalist), THE ICE ROOM (Fearless New Play Festival), CONDO CONDO CONDOLAND (Old Sound Room), and HOUSE BEAUTIFUL (Sewanee Writers’ Conference/Tennessee Williams Scholarship) among many others. Produced film projects include internationally screened short NIGHT WAKING (dir Shoshana Rosenbaum), THE LAUGHING CLUB (dir Jason Lobe), and webisode "Together Alone" for the original series HOMEBOUND. Liz is a member of NYWIFT and an alum of Playwrights' Arena (American Voices New Play Institute), the Playwrights Collective at Center Stage, and the 24 With 5 Collective at New Dramatists.
