Kari Mote

Kari's journey began when she optioned her family's dark occult story to ITV Studios. She's a multicultural intuitive who writes across genres and formats, creating female lead roles that are messy and gritty using her experiences with trauma, abuse and the occult. When she's not writing independently, she collaborates with her daughter, Alana. In 2021, her projects Mr. Rose and Crabs In A Mother F*cking Bucket both landed and remain in Coverfly's prestigious top 1% and Red List. Kari is a two time Screencraft finalist and Stowe Fellowship finalist. She’s placed in PAGE, The Nicholl, Final Draft’s Big Break, ISA Fast Track, Austin Film Festival and has over four dozen awards.
