Julie Pearson is a comedy writer/director raised in St. Paul, MN and based in LA. She spent the first 25 years of her life in the midwest learning how to suppress her emotions, which fuels her drive to tell stories of women striving to find their voices and express themselves (infused with a dash of existential whimsy). Her 2019 web series, THE BOXCAR ADULTS, was nominated for two Indie Series Awards including a personal nomination for Best Director, and just completed its festival run at Stareable Fest, where it was nominated for Best Writing. In 2020 she was a finalist for the WB Writers’ Workshop, and her work has been featured in venues including Spotify Originals, Reductress, WhoHaha, and the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She recently worked as a writers’ room assistant for Netflix’s THE GIRLS ON THE BUS and Audible’s HAUNT THE JOHNSONS.
