Jonathan Porter

Who I am:

I'm an English Teacher by day and a writer by night. As of late, my main medium for storytelling has been novels and short stories. And, I'm happy to say that my novel, Henry Saw Fairies is on its way to being published. I am represented by the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency.

I love writing books, but screenwriting was/is my first love. I never made it out west because Swimming With Sharks scared the hell out of me when I was in high school. But if L.A. is like Steve Martin's film L.A. Story or even La La Land, I'd move there in a heartbeat. However, thanks to websites like The Blacklist, I hope to share my prose with you all. And with a bit of luck and possible talent, some of you might find my words worthy of your time.

Dramedies, Dark Comedies, Irreverant comedies, Rom-Com, Dramas (especially Merchant Ivory), Fabulism/Magical Realism, and Soft Sci-fi
