JOHN TURNER

John Turner was born in a small town in Ohio with many siblings and endured the struggles of growing up in relative poverty. However, growing poor allowed him to gain a broader perspective of life and was a contributing factor in helping him to develop his creativity. Sitting around in the dark without electricity from time to time allowed for his imagination flourish as his would tell stories with his siblings to pass the time. He moved out West to California where he married and raised his only child, his daughter. He has written an award-winning book of poetry entitled; Take This Journey With Me, Poems from the Laboratory of John Turner. His current creative endeavor is his award-winning screenplay, Time, Space, And The Poet, which has won and placed in several international screenplay competitions, including, Austin Film Festival, Storypros International, Toronto Metropolitan International, Nashville Film Festival, Scriptation Showcase, Creative World Awards, Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes, Indie Gathering International, Plot Point Awards, Screenwriting Masters Contest, Coverfly Red List, and many others...
