Biography

John Strysik was a staff director on the horror television series TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE. He also directed episodes of the syndicated MONSTERS and ABC Television’s reboot of the fantasy series LAND OF THE LOST.

His screenplay for the feature film STUCK was directed by Stuart Gordon and starred Mena Suvari and Stephen Rea. STUCK was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness, won San Francisco Indiefest’s Staff Prize and the Silver Raven at Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Films.

His first play VILLIANY about America’s first known serial killer Henry Howard Holmes premiered at Whitefire Theatre, and his second play DEATH, WITH BENEFITS, a farce inspired by the Killer Grannies of Santa Monica, ran at Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills.
