James Liu is a screenwriter who grew up in Maryland and currently lives in LA with his wife. He mainly writes dark comedies. James’ latest script ‘The Immortality Business’, a dark comedy about the cryonics industry, recently placed as a Feature Finalist in the 2019 Austin Film Festival and as a Quarterfinalist in the 2019 Bluecat Competition. His script prior to that, ‘Riverbend’, a prison/courtroom drama, placed in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships, was a Quarterfinalist for the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards and a Finalist for the Hollywood Screenplay Contest.
