Helen Castles

A newspaper journalist and children's author, Helen is an optioned screenwriter whose work has placed in the top six per cent of The Nicholl Fellowship. Her feature comedy, BROTHER OF THE BRIDE, was a finalist (top 3) in the L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival and the first runner up (comedy section) in the Creative World Awards. The script was also a finalist in the Richmond International Film Festival, won the Script Exposure Competition and was a semi-finalist in the Screen Craft Screenwriting Competition. Her children's book series, SCOOP McLAREN: DETECTIVE EDITOR, is published by New Frontier Publishing (UK). She holds a BA in psychology and English literature.
