Biography

Gabriella A. Moses is a director, writer, and production designer based in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Her latest short films MORE THAN A SUBJECT was commissioned by the Munchmuseet in Oslo, Norway.

Gabriella was selected by the Hispanic Coalition of NY in 2015 as one of their Rising Latino Stars and later that year served as a Shadow Director for the ABC Diversity Showcase. Since she has received support from 2016 Sundance Institute’s Creative Producing Lab, the 2017 NYWIFT "From Script to Pre-Production" Workshop, 2018 Sundance Screenwriter's Intensive, 2018 Tribeca Film Institute All Access Lab, 2018 Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund Finalist, 2018 TFI x Chanel Through Her Lens Fellow and 2021 Tribeca and AT&T Untold Stories Finalist. Most recently in the Fall of 2021 she was selected for the inaugural W Scripted Cannes Screenplay List, LALIFF + Netflix Inclusion Fellowship and The Black List Screenwriters Lab.

In Winter 2021, she wrapped principal photography on her directorial debut feature film BOCA CHICA with Selene Films in the Dominican Republic. She believes in sharing stories with underrepresented protagonists that test viewer’s perceptions of identity and their imaginations.
