Fabian Garcia Alvarado was born in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Mexico in the state of Durango. The only boy with five sisters, Fabian enjoyed writing at an early age. At age twelve, he won a writing award and the opportunity to study fiction in Leon, Guanajuato for one school year. At fifteen, he moved to a small town in Iowa then to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Minnesota-native, Matthew Stenerson has been in the second round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and was the recipient of the FilmNorth Screenwriting Residency. He was a winner in the McKnight Screenwriting Fellowship and has co-written two live musicals inspired by the music of Belle & Sebastian and The Magnetic Fields.
