Emily Kalash

Chicago-based screenwriter. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Class of 2017. While in school, I felt, as a young woman, the challenge of finding my place in the film industry. I let my own insecurities take over my passion for speaking my truth. When I began writing for the screen, I felt comfortable literally writing down and investigating human interactions in a way that is not portrayed enough. Today, I find excitement in collaborating with people unlike myself and learning more about who I am.
