Della is an Arizona native, growing up in the Southwest around horses and a dad who worked as a stunt double and horse trainer. Her love of writing is lifelong. "It’s like breathing, something I’m compelled to do. Life is a great adventure and writing about it is a privilege."
She attended UCLA's Extension Writers Program and The Academy of Film Writing classes. She is also in a screenwriters’ workshop administered by Nicholl Fellow and AFW Founder Max Adams.
Her latest work, Sunflower Care, a comedy television pilot, was selected for Sundance's Directors Lab taught by legendary Director Joan Darling. Sunflower Care's Director Debi Yazbeck attended.

What starts out as a battle between the new nursing home resident, eighty-five-year-old cranky, loud-mouthed Doris and the Grim Reaper who comes to claim her, turns into a hilarious full scale rebellion by the elders at Sunflower Care led by feisty Doris as they try to regain some of their dignity and autonomy.
THE GATE
The Gate is a science fiction/action feature about two boat rental guys who must stop eco-terrorists who have opened a time portal on the lake to the Pleistocene era and are about to wipe out humanity's ancestors to save the planet.
