Biography

Dayna Hanson is a writer, director, choreographer, actress and producer. A dance world crossover and Guggenheim Fellow, Hanson’s kinetic, minor-key aesthetic put her ROOM 104 episode—“Voyeurs,” which she wrote, directed and choreographed and which starred Sarah Hay and Dendrie Tayler—on top TV lists of 2017 in The New York Times and Vox. An alum of New York Film Festival and South by Southwest, where her debut feature, IMPROVEMENT CLUB, premiered in Narrative Competition, Hanson studied creative writing at University of Washington, where she received the Loren D. Milliman Prize for Short Fiction.
