David (John Scott) Ward is an award-winning Australian writer, director, editor and visual artist, among other things, based in Melbourne.
His expertise covers film, theater, television, music video, documentary and dance films, to name a few, and over the course of his now more than decade long career career in the arts, he has also worked extensively as an actor, dancer, choreographer, painter, set & graphic designer and photographer, to name a few. This versatility has allowed him to work across numerous genres and projects for a series of diverse clients, from The Australian Ballet and Qantas, to Heston Blumenthal and Sass & Bide.
With a passion for experimentation and a deeply macabre sensibility in his own work, Ward strives to make art that is wholly singular, tells significant stories, and challenges & confronts audiences with radical reinventions of form and content.
After the death of a transgressive internet personality, a morose fan attempts to understand her life and death - and perhaps artificially bring her back from the dead - by piecing together a documentary about her.
