RIVER OF FIRE
A Pentecostal preacher in Ohio in 1962 ministers to a congregation in a small house that has been converted into a church. The focus is on the adventures of his two sons, a neighbor boy, his young deaf sister, and a mentally disabled uncle of the neighbor boy. Magical realistic events occur throughout the narrative. There is a tragic ending for two of the characters.
