Cody Rea

I’m a flatlander. Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, I was expected to become a harvester and basketball All-Star. But I never cared much for crops and couldn’t dribble with my left hand. I studied film production at BGSU where I found my passion for screenwriting. I settled down in Austin, Texas where I've worked in TV production and brewed beer professionally. My feature script "Spur" has been featured as a 2021 Big Break Top Ten Finalist, 2021 AFF Semifinalist, 2022 Academy Nicholl Fellowships Top 10%, and 2022 Omaha Film Festival Semifinalist.
