Claudia Johnson & Matt Stevens

Matt Stevens & Claudia Johnson met on the faculty of the Florida State University Film School and have been writing together since. They’ve co-written six feature screenplays, three of them comedies—or comedy adjacent—including PSYCHO BITCH, a recent Top 3 Finalist in Final Draft’s Big Break Screenwriting Contest and a Finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. They’re also the co-authors of two books, A CHRISTMAS BELLE (Bayeux Arts)—a sequel to Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL—and SCRIPT PARTNERS: HOW TO SUCCEED AT CO-WRITING FOR FILM & TV (Routledge, 2nd edition). Matt won the Student Emmy, First Place Comedy, for his short film and sold his feature screenplay A REALLY ROTTEN CHRISTMAS. Claudia is a Pulitzer Prize-nominated memoirist and the author of the widely adopted CRAFTING SHORT SCREENPLAYS THAT CONNECT (Routledge, 5th edition). They have both taught screenwriting at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
