An underachieving Community College student tries to neglect growing up and enjoy his life when his friends return home for the summer.

After a disease decimates the world's population, a small group of survivors in the Pacific Northwest try to make their way south to California to a safe settlement, but must contend with dangerous bandits and social unrest within their group.
