Brian Flaccus is a writer, actor, and filmmaker from a Quaker family in Arizona. While working for a degree in linguistics he studied in France, South Africa, and Hungary, surviving as a professional fish out of water. He took his love of language, poetry, and peace movements to the page and began molding those stories into screenplays, working through themes of adventure steeped in loneliness. His pilot script UMZABALAZO, about the hip hop band he played with in Cape Town, was a semi-finalist in Slamdance, ATX TV Festival, and the Hip Hop Film Fest in Harlem. Brian co-founded The Knights Young Productions and went on to write and produce three feature films. His Oscar qualified short film THESE FINAL HOURS was nominated for a 2022 NAACP Image Award.
