Biography
Born in New York City, Betty grew up speaking at home a bizarre hybrid of Chinese and English that she was convinced only her family could understand. She writes comedies centered on Asian-American heroines, fighting the pressure to become too normal. Her debut film as Multihyphenate writer-director-actor-producer, "Father's Day", acquired a global pay-tv distributor during its four-year festival run.
