WGAW member Willam Sutphin, is a 2020 Universal Writers Program Finalist, a 2008 DGA winner for his short film "Uncle Killa." He is also a 2012 USC Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellow. His screenplay "Booker & Olivia" was a 2011 Nicholl Quarterfinalist. He taught school in Harlem and The Bronx before attending Columbia University's Film MFA program, graduating in 2008. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
